SERVICES OFFERED

The Philippine Orthopedic Institute, Inc., is the first orthopedic private practice group in the country, patterned after group practices in the U.S.

The Institute has achieved a milestone in providing quality orthopedic care. Established in 1987, the Institute provides treatment and services to patients of all ages and from all backgrounds: from expatriates to professional athletes, from industrial health care plans to the charity patients of the Makati Health Program.

We are actively involved in training and research which are progressive and organized in maintaining current orthopedic knowledge and quality patient care. We are an integral component in the Makati Medical Center Orthopedic Residency Program.

All these efforts are aimed at contributing to the progress of orthopedics in the Philippines, both in the private and public sectors.

X-RAY

An in-house Radiology Department takes all the necessary x-rays to facilitate immediate evaluation. Our quality radiographic images enable the proper diagnoses of a range of patient conditions. Our well-trained staff are capable of performing the following non-contrast radiographic examinations:

Films are processed and seen by Doctors within three minutes. X-ray films can be made available to patients upon request or maintained on file for future reference.

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Our in-house Physical Therapy Department has licensed therapists who work closely with our physicians to develop individualized, rehabilitation programs. Our staff are experienced in handling various orthopedic and sports related conditions. They manage patients with acute and chronic conditions, as well as post-operative rehabilitation.

Aside from treating patients, we also believe in educating patients. We provide exercise manuals and instructions to facilitate recovery and prevent re-injury. We even offer a wellness program for healthy individuals who want to improve their fitness level.

Our treatment area can accommodate ten patients at a time. We have a mat area where back exercises for our back program can be done. A fully-equipped gym is available for the strengthening program of post-operative patients and for clients enrolled in our wellness program.
